It’s been a couple of weeks since the last release. 3.4 is focused on bug fixes and supporting the new Zazzle product types. It also prepared your site for the next major release that will allow you to have almost any Commission Junction product or Share-A-Sale product available in your store. More news on the next release is coming soon. The beta should start in about 2 weeks (give or take a week).
To help complete the upgrade I need everyone to do the following:
In your admin panel for each of your domains:
- Click on the Admin menu item and then click on clear cache on the left hand side.
- Click on the Merchandise menu item, click List Product Types on the left, click edit on the first product in your list of products, and then hit save. This’ll get the new products (binders, etc) ready for your customers.
UPDATE: You also need to move the new product types, which are in the ‘do not display’ product group to a product group of your choice.
Then download the latest version of the adobe air add-on tool. You will notice a new icon in the upper left. This is the equivalent of a panic button. It wipes out your local adobe air database. Press it. You will have to re-validate your website connections. This will get it ready to work with the new version.
That’s it. Everything else should be ready to roll.
What’s In a Name? A fun contest.
I struggle every time I talk about my Domain Host d’Art application and it’s Adobe Air add-on. I need a good name that’ll help me brand my software. I have some ideas, but I believe that there are many smarter people out there. So I am announcing a contest. Name the Domain Host d’Art service and perhaps provide an idea for a logo. I’ll ask for everyone who wants to participate to email me over the next month with their ideas. I’ll pick the one I like the most.
The Prizes
Why would you want to do this? Well, I’ll buy you a domain url for a year and setup up a new account for you at just 1 in every 10 clicks instead of 1 in every 5 clicks! I will transfer the domain url of your choice to you at the end of the year so you can continue with your new domain. After 1 year the click rate will be set back to the standard 1 in every 5.
