Release 3.5 of Cafepress and Zazzle Affiliate Software

A new release of the Domain Host d’Art software was applied to everyone’s sites today.  Nothing too fancy but it dealt with a couple of small bugs as well as added support for the new Cafepress products Dark Aprons, Gym Bags and Beach Totes.

  • Created Workaround for Cafepress API Bug and Grey t-shirts
  • Created Workaround for Cafepress API Bug and Kids Sweatshirts and Hoodies
  • Adjusted Code so that if a product does not exist in Zazzle, or the Zazzle API fails, your website still looks pretty (because if you can’t look good why bother).
  • Updated Cafepress API calls to ensure that US dollars are always being returned.
  • Added Support for Cafepress Dark Aprons
  • Added Support for Cafepress Gym Bags
  • Added Support for Cafepress Beach Tote
  • Fixed some code for the shopping cart of the new products feature
  • Compressed the javascript utilized in the store front to decrease end user load times.

You need to click on the Merchandise menu item and then Load New Cafepress Product Types.  That will add the new product types to your store.  When it adds the new product types they are automatically put into the ‘Not Displayed’ Product Group.  You need to click on List Product Types, expand the Not Displayed product group and edit each of the new product types, updating them to be in which ever product group you want.

You will notice the new Sigg bottle there as well.  You do not earn affiliate commission of Sigg bottles so you should just keep it in the Not Displayed group.

Please also hit the Clear Cache menu item under Admin to ensure that any bugs from the Zazzle feed are removed.

Zazzle released an update to their API two days ago and it appears to be holding.
